As many of you know, the Club lost a dear friend to us all this last winter. Tim McLaughlin passed away after a long battle with cancer.
As part of a day to celebrate his life, the Bedouins Pétanque section have challenged the Cricket Club to a Pétanque Challenge match on Sunday 17th June at 11am. The winning team will become the first holder of The Tim McLaughlin Cup.
James McLaughlin, the Club Captain, has been appointed skipper of the Cricket Club Pétanque team – and trials will be held to find the best team to take on the Bedouins.
So if you fancy trying out for the team – or just having a go at a new sport, we look forward to seeing you there. Contact James for more information!
