Our Convent Lane ground, nestling in the woods on the Burhill Estate, opposite the Notre Dame School, is a truly exceptional setting which has inspired both great cricketers and firm friendships for generations.

Avorians has a long history of being a club that plays cricket the way it should be played, and stopping for a drink and a chat with the opposition and umpires after the game ...and we firmly believe that if more clubs shared that philosophy, club cricket would be the better for it!

On Saturdays, Cobham Avorians CC has two teams competing in the Surrey Cricket Championship, We also run a Social XI on Sundays. We have a thriving, and rapidly growing, Junior Academy with boys and girls teams competing in the Surrey Junior Cricket Championship and many "home-grown" ECB Level 2 qualified coaches.

Off the pitch, as well as a full and varied Social Calendar, the last few years have also seen a major refurbishment of the Clubhouse, including a new fitted Kitchen, new Gents' facilities and an upgrade to the Shower block, as well as refurbished net lanes; the installation of an Astroturf on the outfield and, new for 2026, the creation of a three wicket junior square towards the top end of the field to accommodate an ever-increasing number of junior matches.

All in all, there are many reasons why our new President, Matt Ellis, I and the club's Management Committee are all very excited about the future of Cobham Avorians CC, both on and off the field.
