Cobham Avorians Cricket Club

Nestling in the woods of Burhill Estate in Cobham and adjoining Notre Dame school, the Avorians are a cricket club embued with a rich history and a spirit which belies our passion for the game. Having formed in 1928, the club has grown over the years to now boast two adult XI's, a Sundays game, and a thriving Colts section providing regular games and training for nearly a hundred local boys and girls.

Clubhouse and Bar
Our lively and friendly clubhouse is always a great retreat from Friday evenings onwards with a bar that boasts a wide selection of draught beers and chilled wines.

Colts Academy
Training sessions take place on Friday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm from the end of April until the beginning of September. All interested boys and girls are welcome to join the academy.

	The Colts Coaching sessions take place every Friday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Come along and see the future Cobham Avorians. The bar is open and will be all through the summer. Annual Stag dinner This year as I am sure you are aware the annual stag dinner is being held at the cricket club, for those of you that remember the days it will be a nostalgic return for this function. Its on the 13th Sept its going to cost 40 pounds can you please confirm your acceptance, I am looking for about 80 people so please bring your mates along for which I am sure will be a great night. 	Sky Sports We will now be showing Sky Sports at the club on our big screen. Check web site for up and coming events.
	New Rules for the 2008 season The first four and last five First Team Premier Division fixtures are to consist of 50 overs per side limited overs.There are bonus points to be had for wins by a particular number of wickets or runs. The games will commence at 11am as per timed matches with a break of 40 minutes between innings. There are fielding restrictions througout as per proffesional limited overs matches with three relevant fielding circles marked on the ground. This is an expeiment in the Premier League only and will hopefully bring very competitive exciting cricket to the league. Our first two league games are at home to Sunbury and Normandy so come along to the ground and give the boys a cheer in this new exciting format.
