Introduction: Avorians Cricket Club are a family club situated in Convent Lane, Cobham (opposite Notre Dame School). We have recently been promoted to the Surrey Championship Premier League have started up a Cricket Academy for boys and girls aged between 9 and 15 to reflect our new status.

Academy Sessions: Avorians Cricket Club, Convent Lane, Cobham, Sunday Mornings during season, 10am to 12pm, all children welcome.

The 2004 season saw regular coaching sessions at our ground, headed up by our overseas professional, New South Wales and former Australia under 19 cricketer, Aaron O’Brien, every Sunday morning throughout the summer.

We are looking to attract as many children aged 9-15 as possible for the 2005 season, who would like to be part and would like to learn the skills of cricket and join our Under 15, Under 13 or Under 11 teams.

Membership of the Academy is £30 per annum. Sessions will be free to all Academy members and £5 per session for non-members. There is also a family membership available at £50 per annum which includes access to our two hard court tennis courts.

We are aiming for an Academy membership of between 50 and 100 by the end of the 2005 season, and if we achieve this we will be entering teams at all three age groups into a league. For the older Academy members there will also be opportunities to gain valuable experience by playing for our Sunday XI.
